Beginning of construction: solidarity center in affected area |
The first stone where the future «Our Lady of Reconciliation» Solidarity Center will be built was put in place last March 1st. This Center will be located at the District of Pueblo Nuevo, in the City of Chincha.
By building this center, Solidarity in Action—Association from the Christian Life Movement—will support many families by giving them the opportunity to receive services on health, education and legal advice; as well as psychological and family support framed on the teaching of Christian values.
The opening ceremony is planned for January 15, 2009.

| Immediately after the earthquake shook in southern Peru, the Christian Life Movement CLM (or MVC as it is also known, which stands for its name in Spanish, Movimiento de Vida Cristiana) started a campaign to help the affected areas. A group of Volunteers arrived to Chincha, where they started handling the aftermath. |
